The Squam Lakes consist of sixty-five miles of shoreline, thirty islands, thirteen reefs, twenty coves, and three bays. The Squam Lakes Association manages several Natural Areas which are available for public recreation. The SLA promotes low imapct boating and conserves the natural resources of the Squam Lakes region.
