Squam Lakes Association Employment Opportunities 2006 JSLA Counselors Description: Jr and Sr Counselors lead JSLA outdoor education trips for children ages 8 to 15. Trips focus on hiking, camping, canoeing, kayaking, mountain biking, and Leave No Trace Outdoor Ethics. Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older and have good communication skills. Kayaking, canoeing and sailing experience is desirable. CPR and First Aid are preferred. Compensation: $280 - $380 per week, depending upon experience. Qualifications: Must be 21 years of age or older and have previous trail maintenance experience. Good communication skills and strong work ethic are desired. Wilderness First Responder certification and SCA Work Skills training are preferred. Compensation: $320 - $400 per week, depending upon experience. Resource Center Staff also perform facilities maintenance and monitor boat launching areas, including offering boating and invasive aquatic plant education.
