The SLA Trail Crew constructed a staircase on Mead Trail using a GripHoist winch skyline.

The Squam Lakes Association (SLA) maintains 50-miles of hiking trails in the mountains surrounding the Squam Lakes by cleaning waterbars, clearing brush and blowdowns and constructing new stairs, waterbars, bridges, and step stones.

Volunteer Trail Adopters maintain sections of trail by completing basic maintenance and sending a trail report to SLA.

Volunteer trail work days are a great way to meet new outdoors people and give back to the trails.

National Trails Day - June 3rd - 8 am to 4 pm at Mead Conservation Center.

Hike for the trails - July 22nd - 8 am at the Mt Morgan Trail head.
