You can see your name in routed in wood on the SLA's new footbridge connecting the Resource Center to the Fisher Family Activity Barn.The bridge is in place, but we still need your support! For a minimum donation of $50 we will route your name into the planks of the bridge.
 Barn construction was completed last year. It's primary purpose of the barn was to provide a location for our youth programs during inclement weather. In both 2007 and 2008, threatening weather occurred almost daily leaving SLA staff scrounging for creative places to maintain camps. There was little rainy and stormy weather this year, but with the addition of the barn (and the climbing wall inside), we have a wonderful, safe place for all youth programs during questionable weather.
Until recently, there were two ways to access the barn: a rocky footpath or along side Route 3. In order to make the barn more accessible from the SLA resource center, we build a bridge.
The bridge will allow us to better utilize the barn. Next summer, JSLA campers will greet their counselors on the first day of camp in the barn. For barn dances and family movie night participants can traipse over the bridge directly from the parking field (the bridge will be lit for evening events).
