SLA Solar Project

The Squam Lakes Association received a challenge grant from the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation to help us install solar panels on our headquarters roof in spring, 2019. We would love your support of this project! This project supports the SLA five year strategic plan, and it connects directly to our conservation-focused mission. Our collaborative partner is the Plymouth Area Renewable Energy Initiative (PAREI). Once operating, the solar array will save an estimated 55,969 lbs of carbon from being released annually, and SLA will have an estimated energy savings of $5,000 per year. We will install 112 panels which have an expected lifespan of up to 35 years, and the project will be used as a teaching tool with live data monitoring. Thank you to all our generous donors, and if you would like more information on the project, please let us know!
