I am from Sioux City, IA and have recently graduated from Saint John's University with a degree in biology. I am interested in wildlife and conservation biology and wildlife/habitat interactions.

SLA's Adventure Ecology Trips: Every Friday from June 26 and through August 14, the Squam Lakes Association offers free programs that are open to the public on a variety of nature and conservation related topics. The Adventure Ecology programs are being presented by the Squam Conservation Interns who spend their summers on Squam performing important conservation work in support of the Association’s mission.

Upcoming Adventure Ecology Trips:

Squam Conservation Internship: The Squam Conservation Internship provides skills and experience for future conservation professionals while working as the driving force behind the SLA’s conservation mission.  This unpaid volunteer internship provides hands-on conservation work experience and certifications over a broad range of activities.  Interns serve as campsite hosts and caretakers at our backcountry campsites, work toward the eradication of variable milfoil, engage both youth and adults in environmental education, and perform other conservation duties such as shoreline restoration and trail maintenance and construction. Learn more about the internship program here.
