Come join conservation intern Ian Smith on Friday, July 18th for a fly fishing adventure at the Squam Lakes Association. The day will begin at 10 am casting instruction aboard the SLA's pontoon boat, Calypso. Participants will learn to fly fish from the boat or can opt to paddle in a kayak while learning. After the group returns to the SLA at noon, participating fly fisherman can continue the adventure in a free SLA boat rental for the afternoon so than can spend the afternoon fly fishing around the coves adjacent to SLA headquarters. We will be targeting largemouth and smallmouth bass, pickerel, and perch. Anyone with an interest in fly fishing, regardless of your skill level, is invited to come join us. Participants must have a valid fishing license and provide their own lunch.
This program is open free to the general public but limited to eight participants. Please call or email to reserve a spot (603-968-7336; email@example.com).
The SLA will offer a number of other guided Adventure Ecology trips on Fridays throughout the summer. Visit the SLA calendar to learn more.
