About the Day: Autumn is a beautiful time to get out and hike! So dust off your gear and let's go hiking. This is a great opportunity to learn about the Squam Ranger program, meet other folks interested in hiking, and enjoy a day out on the trail. This hike starts at the Eagle Cliff Trail trailhead located on Squam Lake Road (named Bean Road in Center Harbor) and is a 5 mile round trip hike that climbs moderate and steep grades to Eagle Cliff (.6 miles) and continues to Red Hill with great views from the fire tower. There is also the option to take the Teedie Trail on the way back and have a short road walk back to the Eagle Cliff Trail parking area. Timing is hard to predict since it depends on the hikers so we may end a bit earlier or go later. Folks are welcome to hike at their own pace as this is not intended to be a guided hike.
Since hikes are weather dependent, we will contact those who have signed up if any changes to plans arise.
What to Bring: Hikers should bring appropriate clothing, water, and food.
