Join the SLA and SLCS for a few hours of invasive autumn olive removal at Whitten Woods!

Lend us a hand at Whitten Woods trailhead on Highland Street in Ashland, NH, Thursday, September 21st at 10am.

The Squam Lakes Association and Squam Lakes Conservation Society (SLCS) will be hosting a volunteer opportunity to remove an infestation of autumn olive from Whitten Woods trail network in Ashland, NH. We'll go over some tips and techniques for identifying this destructive invasive as well as how and when to best remove it. Please help us clear invasives before taking over our most beloved trails in the Squam watershed!

Volunteers should wear rugged work clothes, close toed shoes and bring work gloves, lunch, water, and bug spray. Meet at the Whitten Woods trailhead in Ashland at 10AM on 9/21.
