Mark your calendars for March 21st, 10 am to noon for the 2020 Maple Sugar Day at Burleigh Farm. This is a free, community event co-sponsored by the Squam Lakes Association, the Squam Lakes Conservation Society and the Lakes Region Conservation Trust. Please join us for a fun morning at the farm with sugaring demonstrations and maple sugar tasting, followed by a short guided hike into the sugar bush. Please bring snowshoes if you can, but we'll have extras on hand. Children are welcome, but no dogs please. Burleigh Farm is located off of Route 113 in Holderness, NH. If you are traveling from the Town of Holderness follow Route 113 for roughly 3.5 miles and take a left onto Burleigh Farm Road. Follow Burleigh Farm Road to the end and take a left toward the Sugar House.
The SLA and SLCS are non-profit organizations working together to preserve the unique quality, character and natural beauty of the Squam Lakes watershed. The Lakes Region Conservation Trust is dedicated to the permanent protection, stewardship, and respectful use of lands that define the character of the Lakes Region of central New Hampshire and its quality of life.
Special thanks to Tim and Audrey Fisher and the Burleigh Land Limited Partnership for providing the location and trail access for this event.
