Our Squam Speaker Series is held once a month on Wednesday evenings. Join us for this month's talk, on Wednesday, September 18th to hear about one epic adventure. Outdoor enthusiast Ian Cullison will share stories of his thru-hike on the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT). A journey that took him from the Mexican to Canadian border over the span of four months. From the heat of the desert to the high snowy passes of the Sierra Nevada the PCT is a 2,650 mile route that travels the length of California, Oregon, and Washington. Ian will discuss the challenges and rewards of long-distance hiking and all the lessons he learned along the way.
About the Speaker:
Ian has a degree in Environmental Policy and Management from Ohio State University. He moved to New Hampshire in 2013 to intern for the SLA and decided he liked the mountains. He’s worked for NH Audubon on Newfound Lake and is currently the Director of the Waterville Valley Resort Adventure Center. He spends his free time trying just about every outdoor activity invented but especially enjoys running, biking, and skiing.
