Celebrating Water: Squam and beyond with the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center

H2OOOH! DAY

Saturday, June 20th 9:30am - 4:30pm at The Squam Lakes Natural Science Center

A special day to celebrate water with The Squam Lakes Natural Science Center, Plymouth State University and the Squam Lakes Association

Visitors will meet aquatic animals such as mink, turtles, beaver, and osprey at Up Close to Animals presentations during the day and be able to see the River Otters get a special fishy treat! There will be an Aquatic Discovery Table hosted by volunteer docents to show how watersheds work and to demonstrate how much fresh water there is at “Drop in the Bucket” interactive presentations. Plymouth State University will be in attendance to contribute to education about water issues, and the Squam Lakes Association will also be on hand to show how it monitors Squam Lake’s water quality. There will be water-related games and crafts for children throughout the day. Workshops with Christine Destrempes of Art for Water are planned too.

The cost for H2oooh! Day is included with trail admission and free for Science Center and Squam Lakes Association members. Members must show proof of membership. Learn about water conservation and take the "I'm for Water" pledge.
