"Hi I'm Maggie, a JSLA environmental camp leader and former camper....I know I'm not alone in being bummed out that we can't meet in person this summer for camp but I am excited to connect with you virtually. I hope you will join me for virtual camp where we can see each other's faces, share stories & riddles, explore outdoors wherever you are, and laugh and have fun! See you soon via zoom!!!!"
We are having FUN at our virtual "campfires" and it's great to see each other, share stories, and laugh together. We will be meeting on Tuesdays, July 7th-August 25th from 4:00-5:00pm ET via zoom. If you are interested in joining us or being on the email list to get the activities click here to fill out a google form that lets us know if you can attend the JSLA Virtual Campfire and provides information regarding your interest in Virtual Camp. This information will help us organize smaller Zoom sessions as needed in order to split campers into different groups based on criteria such as age or interests. The small groups will ensure that everyone has a chance to talk if they want to, and are designed to imitate the small groups that we have at actual camp.
There will be no fee for this summer’s virtual camp —it’s just a way for all of us to keep our JSLA community connected, and a way for us to look forward to future outdoor adventures in the summers to come. I am very excited to see all of you, and I am excited to go on this virtual camp adventure with you.
