Rebecca's colleagues at the SLA are proud of the accomplishments she has achieved as our Director of Conservation over the past eight years. It has been an honor working with her!
When we look at the NRLA’s website and the article on the new Executive Director, the reality that Rebecca is moving on strikes home, but she is going to be a wonderful Executive Director. We wish her the best and look forward to working with her in a new capacity, and, wow, are we going to miss her.
From the NLRA website, “Rebecca's accomplishments at Squam Lakes Association have included starting an internship initiative that evolved into a region-wide AmeriCorps program, assuming a lead role in updating the Squam Watershed Plan, which addresses new threats to the Squam watershed, and effectively managing grant funding from the NH Department of Environmental Services and many other agencies and granting entities.”
That’s it in a nutshell, but of course only the highlights and doesn’t include the crushing defeat she handed the milfoil infestation in the Squam Lakes. It doesn’t include the daily mentoring and leadership, the spot on critical eye, the drive to make this organization and our conservation work better and better. The passion and commitment to making the environment and the world a better place.
Thank you Rebecca! We wish you all the best on your new endeavor!
Now, job opportunity at the SLA...
